Here are the best of the big boys (IMO) I forgot them in the other posts.

And here are the guys we are considering for 4H this year. They are all big good calves, but which one should it be......? Would love to hear any comments on these guys....

#7, he just wouldn't stand well for pictures.

#66 has the best 'club calf' look to him, IMO. In 4-H, or any type of showing, it's all about the look. He's clean fronted, clean sheathed, got some muscle and loin in him. A couple of those other calves are a little flat muscled, whereas this guy shows a bit more round in his butt. I think he'll be a flashy calf come May.

This advice is worth less than what you are paying for it. I would pick #91. He has everything that you need; depth, width, balance and could appeal to a British or continental judge. I'm sure that they are all fine animals though. Look good to me anyway. 4H around here is quite political and a perfect animal isn't always the winner.

Well, just cause I show cattle sure don't mean I'm an expert! But I'll have to agree with pure country and go with #66. If you're lookin' for a good club calf, he's the way to go. #91 and #7 have some certain advantages as far a muscling and maybe even feeding better. But the showier steer always does better than the market steer. I think #66 gives you the best of muscle and appeal.

We can tag two animal and show animal in each species, but only sell one animal.
My kids use to each show 2 steers and 2 lambs, The animals feed better in a small herd too.
My Daughter like winning her class with a Herford calf… everybody teased her for ruining a good black steer show. :D :D :D
She likes 66 and 91 would make a good pen mate

After reading NR's comment, I have to say that #'s 7 and 91 would probably gain better and end up heavier, but as a show steer, I'll stick with 66.
(Have we figured out yet why judges deem it more important to look good than to profit? )
