I diddn't think of posting it until one of the boys reminded me. lol.

I had a grand total of 69 shots on goal, the final score was 8-7 for us. We gave some of our better players to them, don't know why, but we did. We played like it was Game 7 of the stanley cup finals, one of our defence played with a broken arm, and we had a major sprian (he's a trouble maker, dfoc said he shouldn't do anything with it for a while, so much for that lol) so we bandaged him up.

The three stars of the game was as follows.
3)Bobby (Their little goalie {30 shots, 8 goals allowed})
2)Cameron (5 goals)
1)Me, coach said he has never seen a big guy move that quick, and especailly with NO defence, he said I did really good. The local A Bantam coach wants me to sign up next year, I can't, gotta chase the girls :P lol.

Thanks for the tips y'all.

ACS GIRLS ARE YUCKY !!!!!!!! Go for the hockey gig. What is the rush with the ladies anyhow. Not like your dying or anything! WAIT A MINUTE THAT"S IT YOUR DYING ARENT YOU!!!!!

If your good enough to play up a level go play there. The girl deal will take care of itself.
Greg and I both agree with NR,and Judith on this one...go for the hockey :) The girls aren't going anywhere....well maybe to watch a cute kid play net

Well, two problems with that.

A) I dont have the money to do it.
B) I have never played organized hockey.

I would like to, but I just don't think i can commit four or five nights a week to hockey, and i really don't think i could handle it.

Cute? Well that's REALLY masculine lol. j/k.

Judith, we're all dying, we have to enjoy every possible second of our life.

Angus how much does it cost? Aren't you getting a job to buy a sled? I am guessing hockey can't be more than the cost of the sled, but could be wrong. If you really want to play, I bet the $$$ shows up. When you're driven you can save $$$, you know?

B) I have never played organized hockey.
There is no time like the present to start doing something. If you have drive and desire, and combine that with hardwork, anything can be accomplished. Do you have those three? If so, get your butt in gear and get to playing. If you don't, don't whine!

I would like to, but I just don't think i can commit four or five nights a week to hockey, and i really don't think i could handle it.
ACS, I hate to tell you this, but if you can't commit 4 or 5 nights a week to something, what are you going to do when you're older, and have so many more commitments to keep up? I hate to say this, but life does not get simpler or easier as you get older. If you start "stepping up" now, "stepping up" later will be easier for you to accomplish. Besides, once you start and commit to practice, I bet you'll really enjoy it and the structure and discipline that come with it.

Judith, we're all dying, we have to enjoy every possible second of our life.
This is true, so get your butt a moving! As Judith says, "Don't just stand there blinkin your eyes like a toad in a hail storm." Get 'er done ACS!

Cheers---

TTB

When opportunity knocks ACS, you really should open the door, I find it now that the mistakes I regret most in life are not the mistakes I made in doing something but the ones I made in not doing something.

Some guys play hockey some guys go to concerts in Saskatoon and holidays in the mountains. I got a kid didn't start skating till Bantam and he's going to push for the backup job on our AA Midget team. Try out or you'll just be another shouda-couda-wouda 40 year old railbird hanging out at the rink. Single A hockey isn't all that expensive and in AA the teams do alot of fundraising. But if your happy playing rec hockey that's fine too anytime there's ice under your blades it's all good. There's sacrifices to be made when you progress to the next level in sport or life.

ACS, playing hockey might help you out with the girls... If nothing else it will teach you how to be a better skater when they want you to take them ice skating!

And if hockey doesn't work out, please listen to me and go out for football!

Ty plays both-he's a running back but says way more action in hockey. No running out of bounds on the ice lol. When you figure that an average atom player can skate as fast as the world's fastest man can run. Emily won the skills contest-she's a 9 year old girl and she was skating right around 20 m.p.h. When you add in a puck that getting shot at 100 mph and 10 athletes on the ice you can see where football pales as far as speed goes. He does like running over guys with the ball though lol.

Figured I would get a response from you NR. Actually I have never played hockey so I really cant say. I guessing you need more "wind" playing hockey. I would probably duck for cover everytime the puck was shot my way to!

I was lucky enough to play football. Got some money from the school to play it in college. Opened some doors for jobs out of college. Make lots of great friends that way. (Hard on knees and ankles though!)

What part of South Dakota are you from-I've run around that Belle Fourche country a little bit from time to time. Football is a great sport too-Ty's trouble is he's just good enough at hockey, football and rodeo that there are conflicts for his time. I never had that p[roblem when I was his age lol.

TTB, between school, 4H, trying to live in two places, and having time for friends, I dont think that there is much more room for hockey. lol.

We have to factor in everything, I always wanted to play when I was a kid, and I still kind of do, but not enough to justify it.

I am getting a job to pay for a sled, and Im only home for half the summer. lol. I show cattle the first week, go to a wilderness camp the second week, holiday the third, and start working the fourth till school starts.

Besides, with dad farming 4000 acres and grandpa's hip replacement coming up again (other one this time) I don't think Ill even get a ride into town. :D

IL and NR, I think I know what you mean about not doing stuff, when my grandpa (on my mom's side) passed away a few years ago, I regretted not spending as much time with him as possible.

NR, I went to the mountains once, it was a great time, we visited the greg's, saw the ice fields, and met up with dad's highschool buddy, Bomber. We usually go on one bigger trip instead of a bunch of smaller ones.

Ive only been to one concert, going to be two may 16, and I was supposed to go in july again, but I have commitments for that week already.

Fulton, I like a little bit of football, but then that is enough, I'd much rather be breakign a steer, fishing with my dad, or sharing the woods with some family, friends, and the LORD.

ACS if theres no time for hockey how would there be time for a girl? They want you with them 24\7 and you will go broke pretty fast! So If you wanna be with your freinds hold off on the girls for a while! Your what 14? You should have enough time to do both things hockey then girls! Lol

Football? SOCCER!! lol
