Fly eggs. Maggots in a few more days. Pepper I'd say. Nice looking smoke house haymaker. We use hickory here but I'm sure you're all misquite. You ever had hickory?

Yup,like Red Robin said its coarse black pepper,and got the ole smoke house fly proof,I use mesquite when I smoke sausage south of san antonio at the home place, and oak here in the Hill country.............good luck
PS Yup lilly good stuff especially with a cold beer,and If i get to the Dakotas jinglebob,Ill bring some of this TX dried sausage :wink:
