Tonight i lost a great friend and pardner. "Ranch" was 17 and i had the pleasure of having him for the past 11 years. He always gave you his best. I trusted him completely and he never did a single thing to make my trust waver. You could do anything you needed to with that horse. My memories of him are countless and will be treasured. Colic is never fun and we tryed our best to save him. But a guy can only see his pal suffer so long and then it was time to put him down. It wasnt easy and it still hurts but he isnt in pain anymore. I love that little bay chunk of granite. Miss ya buddy.

Sad to hear of losing your friend. I know the feeling. It was too bad, he
still had years left in him. That was a nice tribute. He sure had the look of
a 'good one'. Loved his soft eyes, that tells a lot. Those really good ones
aren't easy to replace. Again sorry for your loss.

I feel for you... Last week I had to put down an old friend of mine too... Jud- my 14 year old Border Collie... Been deaf for a couple of years- and getting stiffer in his movement with his aging - but last Tuesday he finally lost control of his rear legs and couldn't stand- was dragging himself around... Time to end the suffering...

Despite our differences elsewhere i feel your pain,,,time eventually will heal some of it but part will remain forever

good luck
