We're suppose to get some of white blowing stuff tonight and tomorrow. Then back to the freezer for a few days. Know we're going to get it had 2 calves today and maybe 2 tonight.

Wind is really howling out of the Northeast here.. That tends to be the wind we get when we get the crapiest weather.. Watching this front come in from the south and west basically means it is going to hangup and move slower.. Lot of drift is this wind doesn't break, long night ahead for me.. Was going to ship the last of my culls tomorrow but looks like it will have to wait another week.. Who knows, by than maybe my trailer won't be frozen to the ground.. This has been a Late January/early feb. to remember. neighbor who is calving and has good facilities is having a heck of a time.. Cows going into labor weeks early, lots of almost silent labors, legs backwords and such. I bet when I talk to him tomorrow he will be in a darn good mood

You made a dreary, snowy day look about as nice as possible Soapweed!

I enjoyed the tour.

The snow got with it here today, and with our few inches from the last few days, we have a good half foot here now. Not much wind today, but finding cows to feed was sort of a challenge.

Perdy Pictures Soapweed. Even tho I tend to not like cold weather, I really love your pictures of the snow.

I bet you sure would like it if you had a resident Dr. to fill in full time in that maternity ward once it gets busy. That part of your operation is so foreign to us. We've only put one cow in a covered shed once when she calved. It was 16 degrees for 4 days, freezin rain and sleet. And she calved on day one of the cold weather. I picked up the calf and took it to the shed....where we'd spread some hay out......she followed with no trouble. Left them there for a couple days...till the calf got a good start suckin, and was good n dry...then turned em back out.

I always love your picture, Soapweed! These are no exception, and your captions always have me wonderin (and guessing, too  ) what the picture might be, when it finally gets loaded (takes forever, ya know..... ).

Love the Snow Angel ones...............but I've always been a "horse freak".
