Today we had SEVERE weather! It started raining early this morning, and this afternoon a tornado hit less than 500 feet from my house  . Luckily I never saw the tornado coming since it was foggy and raining at the time!

Trees were knocked down for a one mile stretch.

Here's the top of the tree... down in the meadow :o .

I guess now I've got a new route out of the meadow, how about that! :D

Afterwards I went to check the cattle. This bull was in the wrong pasture, but wanted back with the cows. Who knows how he got out... maybe the tornado threw him over the fence  .

The calves seemed okay.

The heifers weathered the storm as well.

The hail pounded the cattle and made a mess of any fresh brands. YOUCH!

For those who are expecting this weather tomorrow... GOOD LUCK! Be careful, it's wicked stuff :!: So far we've gotten close to 2 inches of rain though. :!: :!:

That sure doesn't look like tornado country your in!! Glad your damage wasn't too severe.

We've had about 1.5" since last night with plenty of wind and the forecast calls for it to keep coming through tomorrow. I had kind of forgotten what it's like to have spring moisture. We may even stay green for a while this summer!

I guess there were several tornados on this mountain range yesterday. About 10 miles west of here, two subdivision homes had their roofs lifted off, and another house had all its windows shattered. After the tornados passed, it started to snow, and this morning my neighbor fed cows since there was over three inches on the ground. It luckily didn't snow here :-) .

I REALLY lucked out! Laramie got hit also, but not nearly as bad as Windsor, Colorado. I don't believe anybody was killed in Laramie yesterday.

Today it was shaping up to do it all over again, but luckily the weather stayed east of here. Hope everyone else stays safe in the path of these wicked storms :-) .

They hit again last night. The interesting part is the "Experts" claim the it was to cold out to create a tornado and never in fog, They were all backwards in rotation and they moved northwest toward the mountains. They have no answers because this has never been observed before. We could see the storms south and north within 3 miles in both directions, but only got the fog, very little wind and just a sprinkle. Gonna be a interesting year.
