Tough Finals

Well we headed to the LRA finals this weekend-Ty was the youngest guy there in the open bareback by quite a bit. It was a big step up horsewise but he managed to cover two out of four he got on-they had to get on two head Saturday and his hand finally gave out-it's pretty sore and he couldn't squeeze his rigging right so he turned out his horse today-something he's never ever done. One of the old veteran bareback riders Drake Whitney did something pretty classy-he let Ty take his victory lap for him after round three. It was a good deal getting advice from the older guys all weekend. St. Paul sure puts on a good show for the finals-the parade yesterday was over an hour and a half long.
 
I was sitting here wondering how all the work gets done on your ranch NR. Then it dawned on me. Ty works as hard as he plays. Keep trailing him down the road, I suspect that kid is building lots of character. (not the kind that million $ hockey players spew) O :D
 
All my kids are good workers-lucky for me and I definately married above myself. We were just sorting bucking horses-the guy we lease our studs from came and got his share of the foals. Dusty and Carol have really helped us out getting started in the bucking horse deal. I guess were selling our rodeo cows on an internet auction this fall so can just concentrate on broncs.
 
Watched Ty Friday eve..greg said it looked like that hand wasn't feeling well.We walked over to the other side after the steers but couldn't find you guys. Didn't get to make it back into town the rest of the weekend :(

Did you hear how the steer rider that got hurt Friday,was?

Greg and I think Ty did awesome making the finals and at 17,he should be really proud of his year!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
 
The eliminators were out Friday night and they were aptly named-Ty likes a horse that sets up and bucks-he kind of drew some runners and jumpers this weekend. I tried your cell but couldn't get through-I was sitting right across from the announcers stand-right at the top. He sure didn't like turning out-that's not the way he plays things. Drake Whitney gave him some good advice and told him too-I just left it up to Ty to make his own mind up. He might just switch hands for a couple rodeos.

Oh we looked on the right side but down by the chutes.Thats where greg always sits only on theleft side,too bad cause we were gonna let you know we had beds out at the lake for you guys...
 
I was sitting back a bit furthur so I could video his rides. Shauna got a ride over Saturday so a visit would of been nice-the Super 8 in St. Paul is nice but a bit spendy!!!

turn it on?!!! :wink: :wink: when my Mom first got a cell phone, she would shut it off to save the battery thinking that when someone called it would turn the phone on!! :shock: :shock: :roll: :roll:

LOL...nope.greg figures my battery must be going.We had both phones on us all weekend although its mine thats used the most by my kids.

Dang,you know I kinda was wondering if Shauna didn't come down.... :? We were going to come in Sat. for the parade and rodeo but then my youngest sis and niece that just lost her BF showed up. So we spent the day with them :)
