We played our first provincial round this past few days against our arch rivals North Battleford-they finished 1st in our league and we ended up eigth. It was a two game/total goal series which I hate. We played our first game in a little town called Goodsoil-we have four boys from there playing for us so we gave them a home game. It was awesome-natural ice-fast pace and a packed rink. They went at it pretty good but we lost 3-2. On Saturday we went to their barn-we were short three regulars and had some guys banged up-they got up three goals on us but the kids emptied their tank and clawed back to tie it. We had them on their heels but couldn't finish them and they scored the winning goal with four minutes left. Losing is never good but they we did all we could with what we had. We start league playoffs this week so still a chance for us to advance.
