So, the radio in the McCormick that is the baler tractor quit this morning. Mike was baleing and listening to a audio book. He had to get out to change the netwrap so turned off the radio, got back it and there is no volume. Changes stations etc but no volume. Please help, thank you :)

I would guess the book was on auxiliary feed and somehow that function has quieted the normal am or fm output. Pull the fuse or negative battery terminal for 5 minutes? Or trade for an older tractor...

Aren't you guys a big help...just got in, will eat and go to bed. He gets up at 3:30 to go bale, hope he's still awake when I take him breakfast.

Had a similar problem with the wife's radio in her car. Some wire had to be replaced at the dealership. Only took $300....but I do enjoy satellite radio.

When my son was about 16 he was running one combine ( can't remember wheat or soybeans ) and he came driving the combine to the shop - - - the radio had quit! I told him to get back to work - - - we would fix the radio the next time we got rained out! The air conditioner then quit on the combine I was driving, tied the door open got real hot and dusty and 2 days later when it rained we got both fixed.

I love stuff working but you have to set priorities! Now 20 years later the young man has a much better maintenance program than I ever did but things still break and if the quality of the job does not suffer we run till mother nature shuts us down of we complete the job.

Yeah, unhooked the battery for 5 minutes and it worked. Thank you!!!!!

Blankety-blank electronics... I was sorta kidding about the older tractor, they lack some comfort. Glad it worked. I know of one place you folks ranched in NE, you have earned everything that is comfortable, in spades.
