have a client who wants me to A.I. a heifer and transport her about 100 immediately after.. I am not sure this is a good idea.
What are your ideas on it?

My first wife got knocked up in the backseat of my car and I drove her home right after.

Some heifers are developed and ai'd off the ranch and hauled home some time later---and some poor conception has been blamed on timing of haul.

I'm thinking you want to haul quite soon after ai'ng or wait quite a while---maybe either want the fert egg still floating around or else firmly attached. As for immediately---I haven't a clue, think i'd wait a day if I could---
Mr. Denny: if I ever see ya', I'll buy you a malt beverage--perhaps several---of your choice----

The class I took said to either haul them immediately (as in the day you breed them) or to wait the allotted time for the embryo to attach to the uterus. Don't know if that's right or not but that's what they taught us.
