Those elders are sure a hardy bunch :nod:Hugs to them.....and you looks like they scared you a bit
You guys are lucky to still have your parents, neither hubby or I have our parents with us anymore![]()
Yes they did. All the thing they go though its and every day job making sure they don't get hurt. My mom was mowing the grass one day and drove the lawn mower threw the doors on the barn. Thank God it still has the roll bar on it; otherwise it could have killed her. I always try to get it mowed before she does, but I was too busy hauling hay out of the field that day. Dad seems to be a little safer, but every now and then he pulls a wild thing out of the hat he wants to try something. They still run the ranch they why they want to, but they ask me what I think. I tell them and something they do it my way, but most of the time they do it their way. I tell them it's their ranch and they run it the way they want to. One day it will be my and I will do it my way then. I have three older sisters, but they never come up and see them anymore. Cattle is just not their thing, big city is their life now. I can tell it hurts them and I have told my sisters this and they just want to put them in a home. I told them it will be over my dead body will I ever let that happen. Mom and Dad will live the rest of their lives on the ranch or until they want to it's up to them else. Some people would say I am crazy, but I love the old ways where the parents take care of the kids and the kids take care of the parents when they are old. If it wasn't for these people we would not be here today or we would be speaking some other language today. This is the way I pay them back for all the things they have done for us.
God bless the USA and Canada.
