My father Art Jones , from Ft. Hall,Id. and Jackson,Wyo. was an original Turdle Assoc. member and did have the pin. He, along with Harry Hart,Rusty Houtz, Ed Jones, and others ,traveled by pick-up, pulling a horse trailer, to the Madison Squire Gardens rodeo in 1936 and again in 1938..We have pictures of the contestents all lined up in the arena.About 50 to 75 cowboys in all:
He, along with Blain Heap, Stan Hokenson, and others started the Cutter races in Wy. and Id.in approx. 1944 or 45. Does anyone remember any of these men?
I also remember the big time steer roping finals in Pinedale,Wy.
Just wondering, charsranch in arizona
