We have done a couple of major upgrades this year. We got rid of our old tipping table...
And got a new For-Most table
And we got rid of our 1981 Wy-Lee...
and got a 2001 Norbert...
We also unloaded a horse that topped out at the rank of saddle horse and a green horse on the weekend and got a new horse delivered who will become a cow horse.
The horse trade was pretty interesting as the fellow brought along two saddle makers. 1 was 86 and the other was a mere 84. They rode big ranches for a lot of years and had some great knowledge and practical experience they brought to saddle making. The only bad part was that the fellow let me try out his saddle the 86 year old had built, and now I REALLY REALLY want one. It was the nicest balanced saddle I have ever parked my butt in. Both fellows were still actively breaking horses, although the one quit doing first rides after he turned 85. Pretty cool day.
