I thank you too, especially my cousins and friends who served in Vietnam, and especially remembering Grover Olson who died there. He or his pilot were the 100th casualty.

There are ads for quite a number of community remembrances in the area. There will be a soup supper and time for visiting with our local veterans at Midland this evening. Sure hoping the snow and cold doesn't cut the attendance.

nope..I tried to write a few words about an old friend that passed away this year... and post it...

I just couldn't get the words to say how much I am grateful for the veterans who served and for those who stood by them when they returned home...
