Good pics.
A couple years ago in the fall we slipped out to Spearfish for breakfast then went up Spearfish Canyon and roughlock falls. It was very beautiful that time of year. We finished our one day vacation by hitting Deadwood for dinner, then did some grocery shopping in Rapid on the way home.
Last year we went out to Devils Tower and listened to Jinblebob and the Cowboy poets. It was great sitting in the shadows of Devils Tower listening to that great dialog. Then we drove around to the Tower. Couldn't believe how huge it was. A magnificent piece of rock. Then we hustled home in time to check bog.
This year we slipped out to Wall and the badlands.. then hit the 1880 town on the way home. Once again was home in time to check bog.
Ah those one day rancher vacations!

I was sure fixin to meet you JB, but the darn line with those autograph seekers was so long I just plumb ran out of time. Sure hope to make it out again this year. Got this new camera and have a clickin urge to go along with that Cowboy Poet fix I need.

Week long vacations are pretty good too :wink: . But a day is certainly better than nothing. I bet it was pretty spectacular in the fall. All the different colors of the trees would be awesome.
