Last weekend it was beautiful and we moved my dads cattle. Took some decent pics

Brush (smaller boy) and Double A pushing them on. Yes, his stirrups need trained, that is next on our list...
 poor baby, couldnt force his legs in there anymore, until the next day...

Double A and Tomcat going back to the herd after turning a cow. They are getting along beautifully.

The Duke's turn.

Double A is getting to be a hand.

The second day, all ready to go, the cattle had gotten out of where we were holding them so
we regathered and ended up trucking them partway rather than trailing them.

Ranch Mom and the Duke, notice the cap my dear husband hates.

You can see most of us here, kind of funny when I noticed how big our crew is-
took 5 horses just for us, filled a trailer almost, and Lissy didn't even ride.
Me, the duke (notice he needed his spongebob blanky tied on that morning lol  ) in front,
then brush, and Double A

The HOT SHOT finally gets her turn in the saddle, she is a daredevil horse freak,
going to fun to watch her grow up but scary

It was 65-70 degrees both days, last night we got 3-4 inches of
snow! This weekend will be a little different.

Oh these are wonderful...blue skies, kids on horses, family spending time together, good lookin cattle, and pretty scenery...you caught it all in your photo's. I particularly like the one of the father and son...those are the precious kind of pictures I think. We too took advantage of last week when the weather was nice and moved cows and preg. ck. So much for the nice weather now..lol Great photo story.

These are precious times; you will never get to live that day over.
I can see you made the best of it. What fun!!! Doing work as a
family. I loved every picture. Made my heart feel so good!!

Such nice acting horses for those kiddo's.

You are a blessed family.

Thanks for the pictures!!!

Thanks all, we think the kids are all very cute, but of course they are our babes. I too love the father and son pic. I think I want to erase the other rider and put that one (father and son) on our wall very big, either black and white or antique. We'll see how it turns out. I am still decorating the billiard room.   like we are sooo special or something-not at all.lol but I am trying to find good pics of our cowboy spirit to make big for the walls.

FH, yep it was a fun day and the kids are hinting it's time to all ride again. The horses we use for the kids are a smidge of everything, one (the red one Duke is on) is our old bi$#$ mare who is as likely to be on the rag one day and dump a kid, and the next day be the most gentle friendly thing ever which is why she has a lead rope instead of letting the boy have his reins as he prefers, one that is white (tinspila) is k_ranchs brother's and is only about 5 but just has the perfect temperment for kids, not much of a cowhorse, but at age 6 our son Brush doesn't mind, pretty trustworthy, the one that double A rides (Tomcat) was Soapweed's right hand man for many years until we bought him last spring. He is old but has a ton of knowledge for an older kid to learn from. We are tickled to death with him.

Jinglebob, oh Lord I hope it's not time already for a new one.... But I'm sure you will be in our minds when it is time. This one is only a couple-three years old and is a Bader-did a good job, plus two great custom kids saddles for very cheap in our minds. K_ranch is picky enough I know I sure wouldn't want to make something for him.  He does know how to tell someone just what he want out of his saddle though, so????maybe you could just be our man for the job.

lol, nice pictures ranchmom.. love th one of the daughter because, wel, it reminds me of my daughter ever time she sees a horse... She will probably get a horse before I do at this rate   Okay, maybe not but she sure is horse this, pony that... Wife checked out a book from the library called... Oh, I can't remember but it was about a cowgirl so ever since than my little girl says she wants to be a cowboy or a horse girl becasue as she says "Who rides a cow? I want to ride a horse dad.".. I told her we should just get a saddle for moose, our 8 month old Anatolion because he is almost big as a horse

Well, don't wait too long, as the prices keep going up for what I have to buy. I never go up for my labor. Huh, I must be a rancher.

By the way, we might be having a ranch roping up here in the near future. If you are interested or want to know for sure when we firm up the dates, pm me with you phone number. I'd lots rather talk on the phone than type on here. :D

Maybe if you come up, we could talk Saddle Tramp into coming along.

We have been doing a little, just amongst ourselves. No money, no pressure deals.

You're going to see alot of those father/son pic's; the rest of world has no idea what they're missing. You all look well mounted, and having a good day. Thanks for sharing the experience.

Very nice pics. The kids grow up way too fast, so it's great to see all the kids well mounted and helping out. Brings back lots of memories.
