We Wuzzz Robbed!!!

Took the hockey team on a road game last night-were tied with this team so a pretty big game for us. Well we were up 2-0 less than three minutes in-then their pet referee gave us three penalties in 25 seconds-we only got to play at even strength for ten minutes the whole game-it was brutal. They beat us 6-4-Ty's line got three goals and only got one penalty out of the 35 he gave us-I've been homered by a reff before but this was the worst. They didn't score one even strength goal on us-FRUSTRATING stuff. We were two men down already and a 'D' man took a slapshot in the guts blocking a shot-he wouldn't blow his whistle till they scored. For all he knew that kid could of took it in the throat-writing this clown up to the league office for sure.

Well I just got a call from the league presidant and he reprimanded the referee-it doesn't get our two points we need it but the team feels a bit better. Ohh by the way I've phoned the league office more than once to commend good officiating. The best place in the league to play in over last several years is the Beardy's BlackHawk's-they play you tough but they play you fair which is all anybody asks.

Thats good there was a reprimand,bad refs make it hard for hockey.

The year our son played Midget,we just finally said we would forfit the games if we had to play in Hobeema,the reffing was brutal and the boys were going to end up hurt.Apparently we weren't the only ones complaining,no-one in the league had to play there for that year.I hear its still a bad town to play :?

Kudos for giving a thumbs up to good refs,my son ref'ed for two years and hated it....said the hockey moms were terrible....lol

Hell hath no fury like a hockey mom whose kid isn't on the powerplay lol. Know what you call 6 hockey moms in a hot tub- Gorillas in the mist!!! The vast majority of Mom's are great-supportive of the players and teams-the bad 5 percent -well I just won't go there. It's hard for woen who've never played a sport to analyze and critiscize but some take a valiant stab at it lol.
