Got the calves to town before the monsoon hit. We weaned on frozen ground and preg tested in belly deep mud. Calves sold well for the week and the weather. Pays that our neighbor trades a few hundred thousand a year.

Yes sir. I sold my calves ten days ago. Heifers averaged 545 and brought $1.24
Steers averaged 602 and brought $1.38
If I'd got them sold three weeks earlier I could got a dollar and a half on the steers. Such is life.

It seems it's always 'NEXT YEAR COUNTRY' when you are ranching, no matter where you live.

There was a bump down in the market, last I looked the futures were coming back up.

Speaking of weather a "Friend" sent me the weather forecast, this week is to be extremely nice but the weekend is turning nasty cold and snowy.

On Wednesday neighbor B had me go to the sale with an order for 500-550 heifers. I paid that same exact money for a group of heifer with that same weight.
