Well, my first 3 heifers just calved and we are in for a spring storm. I don't know why I started so early.  Oh well, hopefully they won't lose their ears anyway. We can use the moisture though.

Welcome to the fray Big Swede, they are coming 20 a day here right now.

I was wondering yesterday if everyone had a bit shorter gestation this year. We were 15% done before due date. 6 days past now and we are 1/3 done.

Same here gcreek, Had a light night with only a handful born in this newest version of a snowbank. Several this morning though but I have diverted them under a roof.

Yep, they started earlier here too, 18% done before "due date". That's why I could brand a week earlier than usual... which is good since it's supposed to snow this weekend :D .

I'm down to my last one ( when you only have 20 thats easy to do ) and my son is about 1/2 done

But then I'm a little farther south and we are finally getting some diecent weather!

It's a nasty night out. Probably seven or eight inches of new snow already, with snow in the air and a good stiff breeze out of the northwest. The temperature is 28 degrees, and it is a "wet" cold. Kind of glad we are not calving full tilt at the moment. :-)
