What can you folks tel me about Jonathan Toews

Guess he was the Hawks draft pick back in 2006, 3rd overall, and they finally signed him today for a good chunck of change.. Article said h eplayed on Canada Junior team and is a Winipeg Native..... Anyone know anyhting about him? Just curious....

He's got a deadly accurate shot. Go to guy for shootouts. Haven't seen him miss yet. See's the ice really well and knows where to be. Can't believe he's only getting 800,000 per year for the next 3 years as he is worth a lot more, compared to what some other players are getting.

You would think with two number three picks and the number one pick this year the (Not so) mighty Blackhawks might actually start improving and perhaps actually be competative.. They should be one of the better organizations if they hadn't destroyed themselves mid 90's with bad PR, bad player development/procurment, and jus outright bad ownership.

I wonder where he will be playing next year... They are moving there minor league team from Norfolk over to Rockford, Il which is only a couple hours away.. I miss live hockey, I suppose I could go watch the Mallards in Moline if I really wanted too..

Watched him play in the Worlds...the kid impressed the heck out of me,I'd like to see him stay home.

Kola asked today how I can stand the constant snow,that I can handle but if I couldn't watch hockey :cry2: :cry2: :cry2:

J.T. should make the Blackhawks this year. He was really good in the world juniors . In the recent world hockey championships (mens) he was pretty visible on the ice playing against some older veteran players. I think he's ready for the next level. Mrs.Greg are you getting snow? I thought this was a Manitoba problem. We've gone from plus 30 to a chance of freezing rain today within 2 days. Never gets boring in this country. Can go from sweating buckets and swatting mosquitoes back to a skidoo suit pretty quick. I need a bigger porch for all these clothes and boots.
