What Size?

I have been reducing to 800x600 too,(for the photo contests) but I have my screen resolution set fairly high so I havent noticed them skewing the posts.

If you have windows XP right click on a picture in a post that you think is the right size, and choose "properties" , a box should pop up that gives you the type and size of the picture.

Ranchy depends on how many megs your picture is. If your camera takes 6 mp then 50% would be good but if it is 8mp then you need to go lower.
I was doing mine linked in photoshop no bigger than 600 then load on photobucket but that still caused a problem so I had to go down to 450 ...seems to be working.

This is kinda embarassing........my camera is only a dinky little 2 mp.........

I reduced the two I put over in Horses & Dogs today to 25% of original, and they look pretty good, size wise, anyway. :D

So, I'll just go with that.

NR, if you reduce them first, it doesn't take as long to load them into PhotoBucket........but I do notice that "Images larger than 1 MB are automatically resized." So if you put big ones there, that may be how they get reduced.
