15.2 hand 13 year old Brown gelding. This is a good quiet, easy riding gentle horse. If
you can sit on this horse you can ride and enjoy him. He is easy to load, shoe,, catch, and saddle,
and a real pleasure to be around. You can go gather the cows on him, or let the kids trail ride or take
lessons on him. If you want Safe and Gentle this is the horse.
Now.........whats he worth ?
good luck

Sounds like the $$$ amount is insignificant in this case.

Kinda skinny ole horse, dont you think Kola ?
good luck

Hey, if you're giving him away......I'm on my way

I like him. But, I like ' bomb proof' horses.

We bought a kid proof mare for our kids 4 years ago or so $2200 but they are only worth what someone is willing to pay.Maybe you could price him at $50,000 then one of those rich wannabe ranchers from the east coast could buy it and feed it with their steer stuffer.

Take me less time to get there!!!!! I"m so "horse poor" at the moment, one more wouldn't make that much difference LOL

Haymaker...around here if it's a true kid gentle horse, and he's been started on barrels.....he'd bring $2500 easy. No matter what his times in the arena are.

thats the askin price on him,a fellow down the road has him for sale,I need something I can get some work done on,these young horses are alright, but next year is coming pretty fast and its my turn to work the south Texas places..........good luck

You takin the youngsters with ya to South Texas? Be good experience for em.

Yeah, gonna see what they are made out of next year, all they do around here is look for horse monsters
good luck

Lil Lilly took her youngster to the arena here while back. He found a horse monster there. It was layin in wait up under the announcers booth. Fence between it and the horse. But he weren't havnin NONE of that!!! Blowin and snartin at it.

It was a ropin dummy.

Yeah, these 2 have settled down some, problem is you never know when they are gonna blow up,kinda nice to have a horse you can ride without worrying about him running out from under you, that gray horse stepped on a jack rabbit in tall grass couple days ago,was all i could do to stay with him, need a horse with some "been there dun that"
good luck

When i first saw that horse,i thought, good kids horse.Looks gentle.Horse market is'nt the best, but shoot way high and come back down to what you really want. Here i'd ask for $3500,probably get it if ya' have a kid that's handy enough to show the pony. Good luck

A quarter is a pretty good place to start if there are no serious holes like soundness. At 13 he's got most of his good years ahead of him, and if a kid was eventing on him, his value would scae you.

Who's is he? Whats he been used for? ( exposed to) and is he as broke as being claimed? I only ask because I'm in the market for a new horse. I just found out 2 days ago that I will be having some work done to my back. Doc says that if I want to ride when it's all over I better find a nice gentle horse...not the just broke 4 y/o I have....So I'm shopping.....I have my filly listed for sale but my 4 y/o is staying put...I'll get some kid to put some more miles on him this summer. He is such a laid back horse as it is , that it won't be long before he is pretty unflappable himself.

The horse market around here is on a steep decline. Some guys have been picking up broke horses for a few hundred. Kids horses still seem to be holding value but I'm not even sure one of those would bring 2500 in the current market. Lucky to the horse sellers in that part of the country to still be making a profit off of nice gentle broke horses.

Sorry for the late reply, Chickshunt2 and sorry to hear about your back trouble, the horse belongs to an ole horse trader, its one that I havent seen,I been lookin around for a horse, that had some age/experience because Im going to be spending some time in the saddle this year, these young horses I got are a good thing when you got time and patience................anyway here is a link to his horses,he moves alot of horses and he is just down the road from me,so no big deal, but I think you can find a horse to your liking much closer than Texas, transporting would be high.
good luck.............http://www.keithranches.com/

Now Haymaker.....bite your tounge...lol If I buy a horse in TEXAS that gives ME a reason to hop in the truck and go on a road trip, see some friends in Texas, bring home a good a horse ( or 3..what hey if I'm going all the way there y not?) and for the love of our great god....get me OUT of this frozen, snow encased, land I live in. Even if only for a week or two. I miss my monthly Texas runs during the ND winter. I miss my friends down there to.

But on the real side of thing. Yes I would haul it home myself, I would save $ but either sleeping on friends couches or in the pick-up and eating homemade cooler foods...I'm not high maintenance

Thanks for the link!
