The head coach is gone to another tournament he leaves his team in the hands of his assitant coach and another coach. They decide to play basketball against one another. The other coach decides to play. The team without the coach loses twice. The other coach taunts the other team. Such words as crybaby and go cry about it are said. Finally one of the kids on the losing team suggests the other coach go have sex with herself. (You all know the word.)

Who's the most wrong in this situation?

I believe as a coach one should set the example..If one does not set the bar high but rather continues to lower it time and time again then that coach should not be surprised by similar behavior or outbursts of frustration comming back towards them...A graceful winner is a true champion, those that mock others after big wins are losers as well,or as I just call them,New England Patriots fans.. :-) :)

that person would never coach again as long as I had any say in it

that is what is wrong with kids tday, is being coached by people like that.

and I agree with nonothings statement about New England fans..... Belichek really showed class by walking off the field and not returning to the last snap. prick.

Hard to comment on the issue unless you were there at the time. I know some hockey coaches that like to beak the odd time they score at end of practice shoot out lol. Competitive coaches and athletes sometimes say things they regret for sure. Unless any of us were actually present and saw what went down it's impossible to give an opinion one way or another. Another thing is how old are the players in question-if they are young kids he was out of line-if they're a bunch of cocky highschool brats maybe the old coach taking them to school was in order.

The player is a high school kid and the coach is a first year coach. Maybe they are to close in age? The biggest problem I had with this whole issue is the fact that the player was suspended from school and the coach got nada. The coach in my opinion should have been reprimanded and it been put on file. Without the tormenting the player wouldn't have responded and everyone seems to agree on one thing the player did not at all act like that ever. Even team members stood up to say this was not at all in the players nature.

sounds like a simple case of the young coach not being ready at all to mentor kids or handle a situation....... I agree on the kid getting punished and the coach getting off.
