Why I Love Horses

Was looking out at the storm today-the mares are about a 1/4 mile from the house. Thought I saw an extra pony so Ty and I went out to check. Sure enough a mare he bought last summer surprised us-she did a good job for a three year old with her first baby in -25 windchill.

OMG! Too cute! Did he suffer with any frozen ears or anything?

No she was a good momma had him all fed up and dried off when we brought them in-he made a half mile in snow up to his belly too. You don't see many frozen eared horses they are butt ugly suckers when you do.

I'm really wishing we had your trees NR - the past few days have been tough on our calves. The cold and WIND wasn't worth the little bit of snow we ended up with . . . . so far.

I have no idea what stud he's out of-Ty gave $300 for the mare so he's thinkin' he's in some tall cotton for sure lol. We lost a set of twins today it was pretty crappy out-the damn wind is blowing from the SW we don't get many storms from there.

What part of Saskatchewan are you from NR? Looks like big deer country to me. I've always wanted to see that part of the world.

Big Swede search some of my posts in Sports and Hunting we are blessed with great whitetail bucks up here-4 hours south were into great mulies too.
