Mine was a picture of a picture of a fur chache built in the 1870s it was the oldest structure in Star Valley and was in the middle of Dads barnyard. they tried to protect it but it was just packed sand and rock .

My picture is of the old granary here on the ranch. It was built around the
late 1880's or so. This place was one of the first homesteads here in the
northern san luis valley and was the township of Bismark, CO. There was a
general store and post office that served the settlement area from the post
civil war era into the 1920's before it was closed. That building still stands
and is used for storage and one end has a milking stantion that gets
occasional use. Then after WW II the post office was operated again for a few short years.

Here is the picture of "The Rattlesnake Saloon" in northwest Alabama, probably 25 miles south of the Tennessee state line. It is built at the bottom of a steep hill, and it hides underneath a cliff in a rather out of the way place, away from the main roads, in a heavily wooded area. Its walls are decorated with rattlesnake hides, deer heads, a large wild black boar head, numerous old pictures and stuffed rattlesnakes, and above the door is an old gun with the caption underneath that says "We don't call 911"

The saloon was almost empty when we there on a Thursday afternoon, but they claimed that on a busy weekend they would serve 1000 people. Then they explained that they were right next to a "DRY" county.

This saloon is half a dozen miles from "Coon Dog Cemetery" where only bona-fide coon hounds are allowed to be burried.

This was a really neat area to visit.
