These are relics of the dustbowl era

They are on Jan's paternal grandparents place that now belong to an uncle

Can you imagine 12 kids rockin that ol house? No wonder it looks a little shakey! Jan's dad was the oldest of the 12. He was born in that house, and is lain to rest about 1 mile south of there. Our home is 1 S and 2 W of there in SE Colorado.

You deserve a historical marker for those cars. That's just plum neat.....sorta. I know the dustbowl was bad.....but that's a part of history.

Good thang that house wasn't in that shape durin the dust bowl....cuz I don't much think it'd be there now.

Thanks for sharin them.....and once again, congrats.

I can't believe they are still there...Around here some of those old car nuts and hot rod builders went around to every place and bought up all those old car bodies...The Model A and Model T Fords were really hot- then some of the old Hudsons with suicide doors were in demand...

Looks to me like those old cars are of the 1938-1940 era. Makes a person realize that the dust bowl days extended much later than 1934 & 1935. I would like to see a better picture of those tractors in the background, the one on the left looks like a Farmall.

There is an old field north of the house, that will still blow today.
