Were hosting a womens range day next week at our ranch. Limiting it to 15 ladies but might not even have that many as so many women are working off the ranches or running with kids. The three ladies that are going to be leaders are great at their jobs of range specialists.

This is a sample of the agenda.

Do you get to be there, or are you supposed to make yourself scarce? :???: :?

I think I get to cook supper. :D

I may get to give an over view of how we run the ranch but I will let the ladies go on thier own in the hills, i have attended a few of these types of days. really good. The "Range health assesments" are a program that the range community in Sask have been working on for a few years. They have been tested at Native prairie week tours for 3 or 4 years. Really a good hands on system that a producer could learn easily. After doing it for a few times it sure makes you realize what your looking for and at when checking out your range.. We have had a really great grass growing year so it is fun to be out there looking it over now.
