World series

And it was a great game!!! Who saw the catch the cards made while he was flat on his back.... I'm not really a big baseball fan, but I liked the games..It was just good baseball. No fits, no glitz, just great baseball. And I have to credit that to two medweatern teams...... No mets, no yankees..... I'll bet my 82 year old father is in hog heaven..... His team finally won the big game....

I found the whole series very good. Going into the series the talk was all about how dominating the Detroit pitching and hitting was. It proved out that the old men from the St. Louis bullpen were outstanding. The pitched like they were in a World Series however the Detroit young studs acted like the young geldings. They just choked. Neither team hit to their potential. I also enjoied seeing how the pressure affected each team. I listeded to Joe and John from ESPN last night and they said there was a sign in the outfield that said "hit it to the pitcher" . How can those detroit pitchers throw the ball away so many times in one series? :lol:

I thought the leading pitcher for the tigers was going to wet his pants.... Although the relieve pitcher for the tigers last night was pretty good... Did you see how he pitched those ( I think they were change ups) balls that turned and dropped??? Crazy.........

The day I cheer for the Cardinals...welll... it just won't happen. It would be like Jigs ecoming a Nebraska fan. The NLCS was so painful for me this year... I don't like the cardinals at all but I hate the Mets... Just despise them with a passion.. Nope, my poor family has 100+ years invested in those dang Cubs and it will stay that way... Ever since my great grandparents settled in the Chicago area they have watched the Chicago white stockings who latter became the orphans who later became the cubs...

OF course, they were Chicago Cardinal fans before that football team moved to St. Louis and than Arizona..
