Craig Bohl said those who stay will be champions.
He wasn't wrong.
Wyoming, in the Cowboys' third season under Bohl, are Mountain Division champions.

Air Force defeated Boise State 27-20 Friday to ensure Wyoming would represent the Mountain Division in next week's conference championship game.
Even if Wyoming loses Saturday at New Mexico, the Cowboys will represent the division, because Boise State, Wyoming and New Mexico would all be 6-2 in conference play, but Wyoming would have the best divisional record at 4-1.

It is Wyoming's first ever Mountain Division championship and its first division title since 1996, when Wyoming won the Western Athletic Conference Pacific Division.

The Cowboys still have homefield advantage to play for Saturday, however. If Wyoming wins, it would most likely host San Diego State on Dec. 3 in the conference championship game. The host team is the team that is ranked higher by the College Football Playoff committee. Currently, neither Wyoming nor San Diego State is ranked.
The next determining factor is a combination of four computer poll rankings: Anderson & Hester, Billingsley, Colley Matrix and Wolfe. Currently, Wyoming leads the Aztecs in all four of the selected computer polls and that would presumably remain true if Wyoming won Saturday, even if San Diego State also beat Colorado State.
If Wyoming loses Saturday and San Diego State wins, according to the Colley Matrix — the only one of the four polls that allows you to create hypothetical scenarios — the Aztecs would be the higher-ranked team. If both teams lost, Wyoming would still be ranked above San Diego State, per the Colley Matrix. If Wyoming wins and San Diego State wins, the Colley Matrix projects Wyoming would remain the higher-ranked team.
