Here's some of our yearling heifers. Most were raised here, a few were bought, they have pink tags.

Nice..... They sure look nice and long. Who ever makes your tags, would they come down and make tags for me? :D :D

I've noticed before that cattle kinda get 'stretched' with the way photos come up on here. I think these cattle would probably look better to me in person than they do in the pictures.

Do canadians not bangs vacinate? Most here typically tag heifers in the left ear and the right ear is where the bangs tatoo goes--and it'g got to be a 'legible shield'----

We leave our calf tags in and brisket tag any kept for replacements. Calf tags can remind you of who their mothers are, but usually hard to read with hair in the way---and eyes getting older anyhow===starting using cow tags on calves, not much more $$, can see them better.

Thanks, Katrina.... How much do you pay, I'm thinking that could be a nice holiday....

Littlejoe, I wasn't real happy with the photos either. To me they look lots better in real life than the photos.

We do not Bangs vaccinate up here.

The heifers just got their new 'cow' tags a couple weeks ago, we removed the calf tags then. I've got so many records, that by the time they have a calf I will know who their mamas were. I'd like to use brisket tags, but DH doesn't agree that the extra work is worth it. I like the Ytex tags, they have a pretty good retention rate.

We can't even buy Bangs vaccine. We have eliminated it by test so we are told. :?

I did buy some PB hfs back about '95 that were OCV tagged.

You would think Testing for elimination would be a good thing but now it's a trade restriction because we don't vaccinate. :?

I don't really think there is a big difference between the solid angus than the rest. This year we didn't have very much ringworm. The heifers were turned out about a month after weaning and I think that made a big difference. The calves in the corral have much more ringworm.
