Yesterday's pasture rounds (pics added)

While Mr Lilly and our son were tryin to bale hay....note I said tryin LOL one of the bearings went out on the baler so he'll be repairin that this afternoon after a trip to the parts store. Anyway, I made my rounds thru the pasture and took a few pictures.

Lilly pads are really growin in this lil tank, they do every year. Can't wait till they start bloomin.

Ain't ever had any gaters in that tank, but the place joinin ours has a tank that had a male and a female in it a few years ago,till word got out and someone came in and shot em. Which is fine by me, I don't want any gaters in my tanks LOL.
More apt to find a hog in this tank, on the far side of it, there's big holes where the wild hogs waller all the time. The cows don't use this tank much, for whatever reason???

What kind of cow is Mocha. She is really pretty with that "dusky" coloring! ( not to mention she is a nice cow even without the paint!)

Just a cross bred cow. Her mama was red brangus, and her daddy black brangus.....we have 3 cows with that coloring, the other 2 are darker than she is. They all three nearly always have calves that color.

Awwww yur baby is perdy! One thing about yur critters...they are so colorful, just like your texas background...Your cows slick off so nice...ours are still ruff lookin...need a few rain showers to get them all cleaned up...Hope ya get the baler goin again before to long...always sumthin aint it..lol Great pictures.

It don't take a whole lot for them to slick off....cuz they don't put on a whole lot of hair for winter to begin with LOL
