'Yote Calling??

I got dad coyote call for christmas, he doesnt have the patientce to call, so I got it again . but I havent used them before. I snatched the movie i got from dad and have a good idea, but Im not sure yet how to call them in.

Any Tips and tricks? Im going out to the pasture when dad is feeding cows, we have a group of 6 out there, this two week is going to be their last, cause ith camo, calls, and an outhouse blind, theres going to be a lot of hours logged in the field. lol.

Im using my .30-06 with 150 grain shells, I dont usually sell hides, sometimes, to pay for my shells, so thats why Im going out with 150's and not my 55 grain exc ellerator, that and theres some gusting, and I have my gun all set for the 150's.

Weve been seeing a few lately, way too many, I think im going to have to put a bounty on them for me so dad'll pay up, mebye not , cause then he'll charge for my cattle feed

Ay tips and tricks to get some prarie coyotes with a call?

Set up so when they circle to get downwind you'll see them-Ty usually calls for 30 seconds or so then waits for a few minutes. Once one starts coming don't call so steady cause he'll lock in on where you are. If you miss them they'll get pretty call shy. If your just shooting to kill them not pelt them-shoot them right behind the shoulder like a deer. Yotes aren't real easy to headshoot. If you do miss call right away again sometimes a young one gets confused and will hang up for a second shot.

Ill try that tomorrow evening, i had one coming in, put the call im ny mouth, clamped down, got a hold on him with the rifle, thought if i blew hard he might stop, so i blew, the call lew outta my mouth, and the band went down my throat, diddnt get that coyote, but got one while doing chores. He was in with the cows.

Do what Northern said but it works better if you have a buddy. Example one guy calls and the other guy with the gun waits downwind say 100yards to shoot the coyotte when it comes circleing in to the caller.
Also be prepared. Even if your on flat level ground and can see for miles coyottes can magically suddenly appear withing 50 yards of you and you will wonder how they got that close to you without you seeing them.
