What a stretch run just a stride short-it would give me a heart attack to own one that comes from that far back. I guess it isn't the fairytale ending but was still pretty awesome.

What a horse!!!!

Oh on a side note:

On page 143 of the AQHA journal there is a picture of a horse that one reserve at the Region Two Championships... :D :D Of course ya all know who won it... 8) 8) :pretty:

I didn't see how she was gonna even get in the field, but even
coming in so close to first, was nothing short of awesome.
She'd have won if she hadn't run out of dirt!!! :tiphat:

Thanks Jiggerboss for making me aware of this great racehorse.

Congratulations Katrina!! I don't get the AQHA Journal, but I
bet I borrow one just to see that picture of you and Limit.
Again, congratulations!!!

One more stride and she would have made it home with the win.
If she didn't get hung up in traffic she would have easily got the first place win. Still a totally fantastic mare!. I'm thankful she got through the race safe and sound, unlike Rough Sailing in an earlier race today.

I didn't watch the race.... I'm still traumatized from the last horse race I watched..... But I did think of her while we moved cattle this afternoon..

Today when I was coming home from inspecting calves- I stopped at the local water hole to cash a check- and the whole crowd there was taking up a collection to make a mass bet on her on the Video betting-- but with 8-5 odds- I thankfully thought there were better investments.....

Quite a filly tho...

Dont montana have banks

They said she likes it there, I guess. (Remember, Secretariat
ran the same kind of race). Then when asked she blows
their doors off. Before this last race, the jockey said (and it may have
been in one of the links jiggerboss posted) that he never felt like
she was at top speed; that she had more to give if he needed it.
I do think he made a mistake this last race, but no one is perfect.
She was soooooo behind and then went through the pack instead
of going around as usual. Anyhow, that's how it looked to me,
but I'm just a person looking on, I have no idea what all went on,
I'm sure. She's an exciting, awesome horse.
