the old 1105 massey had enough room for 3 large people plus 2 dogs,by comparison the 2955 and6615 john deeres are compact models.but have more modern conveinces which make the job go faster.

on the NH these crop lifters {2}are on each turtle. with one missing the turtle is outa balance,giving an instant vibration.with both of em removed the machine works perfectly.i have looked at the new idea rotarys and don't recall seeing anything similar to these

they are wedges that attach to the disc. they are either conter clockwise or clockwise .the knife bolt goes through one hole and a shorter bolt attaches at the top

i have a nh 1411 have been running it for a few years.i have a problem keeping the crop lifters on it generaly loose 1 or 2 a year when i first got the machine they were 65dollars a pair, bought some friday 135 dollars for a pair.the discs are properly timed,there is no vibration & I DID NOT HIT...

i have a nh 1411 and like it very much,i had a nh 1465 and thought it was a hunk of junk right from day one . the best mo/co ive had was nh 488. also had a 990 IH but found the conditioner rollers would break after a few years.
