    Baling Corn Stubble

Now there's one of the best lockers in this area. We take all of ours there. You'll be with-in 8 miles of the Homestead and you will go about a mile from one of my pastures. PM me and sometime when you're down this way I'll buy the coffee.

    Baling Corn Stubble

We only managed .2" night before last. Last rain was memorial week-end. But sub-soil moisture is good so the crop is holding it's own. Where are you taking your steers?

    Baling Corn Stubble

I think I would chop and bag rather than try to bale. It will make better feed that way. Also don't have to wait for it to cure.

    Yippie Skippy

Around here the rye is all headed out. Baling and chopping is about done. I will say that the rye yield seemed to be average or up a little.

This will let the hay take up all of the roundup and not lose any of the hays value. It will also save moisture...

Since I'm one of the few farmers in IL that doesn't raise corn to sell I get a kick out of my employer and his sons plus some of our customers who complain about delivering 2.60 or 2.80 or whatever corn and their over bushels makeing a 1.00 over their contract. Of course most are complaining in...

    GRASS FED BEEF ?

With todays lack of or high price ground I don't think you can really justify grass-fed. I'm not saying one is better than the other itjust seems that the return on investment is along ways down the road. If you don't have really deep pockets or a banker who has alot of guts it is going to...
