0822 growing up

I noticed I had several pictures of this heifer calf and her mother from spring through the summer and into fall. You can see her as she gets bigger. Not often get to do that. The dates are on the pictures.

This is my mom. About 3 weeks after calving

This is me in June. Just got done walking to summer pasture. It was a long walk, but it was worth it.

Me and my mom and life is good.

A couple weeks later.

my sister enjoying life too.

Its September now and its been a good summer.

I still like my mom, but where did the green grass go?
This is the same pen as the last picture only about 2 weeks later

I like to show off a little

What an oasis you live in, is it always that green in the summer or did you have an extra good year?

We had a really good year. The September picture was taken up in the corral after we had grazed it short earlier and after the rains the end of July and first part of August it turned into a really lush lawn.

Here is a picture that I took in Aug of the same heifer when she was out in the pasture. I don't know why I missed it when I did the original post.

Tremendous specimens in my opinion. I love their depth and thickness. The kind you'd expect a herd bull out of.
