Since it appears to me that, that forum has degraded into far left and far right who enjoy personal attacks, endless, mindless arguements and very little actual truth i have decided to just go cold turkey! No lurking! No seething! No offending! Just won't waste anymore of my life squabbling!

So, if your of the same opinion, raise your right eyebrow and repeat after me........
I,____________________ solemly swear (not at cows) to do myself a favor and stay out of Political Bull. Since this website is about enjoying friendships made with folks who enjoy the same vocation and traditions I do, if I need to examine the political landscape i can find another site to scratch that itch! I can laugh more, share more and stress less. While others who want to step in the PB are still welcome, I choose to fight, hate and argue about things that aren't political!

This site is much gentler than others. Sometimes a poster has a bad day and takes it out on the key board. I have made some bad posts on other sites when topics get hot. But I really enjoy this site it is much more relaxing but I stay off the Political part even though I have my ideas.
If some one wants to get hot go to Advantage or 5barx they can gang up on some poster pretty hard at times. One of those sites had a attorney stirring up trouble then threating posters for law suit a few years ago. Not fun Adm took sides of the attorney (not very fun) instead of deleting the hot posts.
Stay with Ranchers....

That may be true but 5barx has some excellent discussion on cattle breeding methods too. Some real out of the box thinkers and challenging debates - one thread discussing line-breeding with Larry Leonhart participating generated over 670 replies. Like any of these things you can choose what to read or ignore. I really enjoy the photos on this part of Ranchers website.

I don't intend to make promises I can't keep. Preventing myself from peeking at the Political Bull page would be a very honorable thing to do, but any good intentions on my part would soon fall by the way from sheer temptation.

Even though I pledge faithfulness to my dear wife and the Conservative Cause, I reserve the right to look at but not touch pretty girls and to check out the well-meaning but misinformed Liberal line of lunacy. Occasionally it befalls me to offer substitute thoughts to this situation. :wink:

Sorry, but if one person sees where this country is going to with a post from me I have help defend our freedom. I have always done my best not to attack a person untill they have come at me time after time after time. I have called people out about the name calling and said that children do not belong in adult conversations.
We dont know how many people read and not reply but learn from what we are talking about.

I know that I am not a political speaker or a motivational speaker either BUT I have always been a seed planter. And as long as I feel I am doing my best and debating the issue and not attacking the person I will use my gift to the best of my ablity.

You feel you must step out due to it becoming personal, I am sorry, you will be missed. you had a way of speaking your mind very clearly but I can also see where having people attack you is too much stress. That is not a shortcoming in any way. Hopefuly after some time away you can get back and balance the two.

MsSage, you hit the nail on the head......I care too much to stay out of some of those debates. I'm probably not going to change anybody's mind, but I can't, in good conscience, stay silent.

Got a question for you...

Would you be more inclined to visit PB if it wasn't so mean with the personal attacks? I have no problem with vicious attacks on a person's political ideas but am uncomfortable with attacks on an individual or their family. I'm very hesitance to censor anybody's thoughts but some of these personal attacks are over the top in my way of thinking.

What do you think?
