If you've been using your spotlight, and found that the cigarette lighter receptacle, or the plug end on your spotlight aren't up for the task, try this quick (temporary?) fix.
Get a spare trailer plug end, the same type that plugs into your pickup, and wire a thin 2 wire appliance cord into the "accessory" spade and the "ground" spade, and splice the other end into your spotlight. The trailer receptacle should be fused for app. 45 amps and the wiring is better then the 12 volt receptacle in the cab. Not terribly convenient, having all that extra cord to do something with, but a better alternative to checking cows without a working light.
