What has everybody been seeing for sales and prices on first calf heifer pairs?

I bought 20 heifer pairs a couple of weeks ago for $1650 a pair.

They sold some first calf heifer pairs in Philip, SD on Tuesday for $2300. :shock::shock: Hope this doesn't hurt some people before it's over.

I think I should be selling out!

1375# Slaughter heifers sold on TEAM yesterday for $1.12 or $1540/hd. Maybe we won't make any more money but we will sure handle more of it. :shock: I tried to buy some open yearling Angus heifers for breeding but came in second place when the bidding was done. The good ones
brought $1080-1150. There are lots of lesser quality feeder heifers that are going to get bred this summer.
