2013 polaris ranger 900

Have got 400 miles on mine. Fairly thirsty, but overall a very good machine. Will just about fly, even in reverse. Pops right off in cold weather. Wish I would have opted for power steering sometimes when using it instead of a horse. Anything else I can tell you?

Probably anywhere from 12K on up. Enough to pay for a decent used pickup, or a damn good stock trailer.....close to the price of a 4430 JD, or a house in the right part of the country.

Maybe so but you can do a lot of stuff with one. You can do stuff two to three times faster than with a little pickup even. Plus a lot easier to get in an out. Also less maintenance. They are worth every penny.

A pickup can't do what the ranger can do on my operation. In a fragile native grass environment a low impact vehicle or horse are the units with the least damage. Pick up truck tracks stay for years in some cases. A cheap house or an old used tractor aren't a bargain if you don't need one. Hayguy, it would be closer to $15 G here.

they are wonderful machine's for sure and with all the positive feedback on here over the year's Polaris is probably the one to go with. perhap's a set of atv wheel's and tires on my tracker would be a more affordable option, but then i could'nt take it to Timmy's   Sorry if i derailed the thread

I actually bought one in February and i have about 600 miles on it. I put a full cab on it and a winch, which works great for loosening up old posts and getting yourself out of situations you shouldnt have been in. :D I had a 700 ranger before and they arent even in the same class, but they darn sure dont give them away. Thats the only signifigant downfall so far.

Can you get one like this???

Let Peaches lay down a good supressive fire while Sparky uses the front mounted winch for better control and downward force - - - O wait you are not in Kazakhstan.

A Polaris Ranger can even be used to pull a calf in a pinch.

Your horse woulda done it the same thing. You just like showin off.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but does anyone know how the Kubota diesel UTV compares to the Polaris in road speed, handling, etc.

I recently attended the annual open house lunch at the Kubota dealer in Rapid City. Those lil' orange outfits look kinda appealing with their hydro trans, hard plastic cabs with real glass, factory heat/AC, and hydraulic dump box! Just like a lil' pickup, including full grill guard!

The older ones, like 3 years ago, would only go about 30 mph. I don't think they have sped them up. I have a friend that is a mechanic for the local Kubota dealer, and I am pretty sure he said they are still slow. I am not real sure how fast the big one is, but I am pretty sure there was something to do with the legalities of speed and roads.
