I've been enjoying all the great photos, so I thought I would share a couple.

1st calf of 2008

Good thing there's a little dark ground or that little baby would blend right into the scenery...lol Thanks sure hope to see more babies in the Mts..

My kinda kountry & kalf. You guys have been getting pounded with snow from what the news is saying over here. It is good. The Rio Grande water shed has been soo dry sooo long.

Hi shortgrass,

We've had an old time winter this year for sure. The Rio Grande, San Juan, and Sangre de Cristo Mountains are all 150% plus average snowpack!
Hopefully this will be the end of the drought that started in 2001.

I'm on the same page with hoping this is the end of the drought. My cousin over by Toponas is having an old time winter too. He is feeding with horses and a sled, but his teams are all wore out. He would like to find more horses. Someone told me that Wolf Creek had had over 40 feet.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. We are still waiting to get our 1st and only char/angus calf of the year. The little girl on the place runs those for her herd.
