BTW, aren't those pine trees behind the windbreak? We have been fearful of planting those. What is the deal on pine needle abortion, or do you have the trees fenced in with nothing to worry about on that score?

Comment on just this site makes me wonder if the 'black' popularity may be fading a little.
It might be interesting to see research onto just which breeds REALLY produce the best animal and beef: nutrient profiles in the meat, disposition, tenderness, rib eye(and is that all it's been hyped to be?), all the health traits to make them thrifty to raise, PERFECTION, in other words.
My guess is there would still be many breeds to fit different needs or 'wants' relating to style and variability of climates where cattle are raised. Looks like some of us need some camel genetics spliced into our cattle if weather prognosticators are correct about drought prospects.
