Had planned on keeping one more year but I guess I will ship.
He has been getting weird soundness issues off and on for 2 years now.
2 years ago vet couldn't find anything wrong with him and he healed out after antibiotics.
This spring he got gimpy again after thrashing a fresh round straw bale but then got good again.
Then he got foot rot a while back. Treated and he got better .
Now his foot is all growing funny. It's actually the heel. If I trim the toe it won't help.

Are you sure that is hoof rot? Doesn't look like it to me.
We had a bull with low pasterns (conformation defect) whose hind toes grew out similar to that.
One way to find out if it is hoof rot is to take the temperature.
It looks like a founder, but if it was founder, I would think it would be in all 4 feet.

However, I agree with pups and bucks. It's time to go to town with him.

Even the vet could not figgure out what was wrong with him.
Bull always did respond to antibiotics
