We were driving home from the neighbors and never felt it. Debbie is talking to a friend of ours 150 miles north of here that had the lights swinging in the house. Their place is about 300 or more miles SE of the Charlottes.

Hawaii in path of tsunami after major 7.7-magnitude quake off Canada's coast

Editor's Note: With about 20 minutes left before a tsunami is expected to hit Hawaii, it's a race against time for residents to rush inland. Waves between 3 and 7 feet are expected to lash the islands, beginning about 10:28 p.m. local time Saturday (4:28 a.m. Sunday ET).
