sandhusker: How did we get this set of priorities?

try 'manifest destiny'.

Well, step back and see this for what it is, Don. We have a law that was supported by a large majority of citizens and passed by our elected legislators in Congress - just the way it's supposed to happen. Now, this US law can be overturned by foreigners because "trade" is more important than anything else? Come on, that is totally rediculous! I mean, what the hell are we thinking of? If "trade" is more important than law, more important than what the citizens want, more important than safety, etc..., then we've totally lost it.

If poll no's are to be believed why are the ''branded'' beef programs in this country NOT paying huge premiums to keep up with the demand for there ''safe'' beef? They should be in the drivers seat and have a hard time keeping up with demand.

"Where's the beef?" but "Where's the beef from?"

Grand Bend, Ontario,Canada
Tampico, Tamps, Mexico

Sooo where would the best grassfed cow beef come from???? Can anyone guess or COOL?
These rules and requirements are costing all US cattle producers money out of our pockets--we should take advantage of having them... And M-COOL is a way to do it.... OT

NAFTA is in direct violation of the US Constitution.

that is your problem.... a deal is a deal

An illegal deal is not an enforceable deal.

Bring your case on - get it in every US paper that you can. With an election coming up, I'll bet we can fix "our problem".

I think Hillary will honor her contracts better than this last brain surgeon.

Maybe you should do some research on what she says about NAFTA. Here's what I read this morning; "Which is why we should be taking more notice of calls being made by the leading Democratic candidates for presidential nomination to renegotiate the NAFTA. Hillary Clinton, the current front runner, Barack Obama, and John Edwards, have all said they would renegotiate the trade deal between Canada, the U.S., and Mexico."

And I will agree with you on who I call "Block Head Bush". If my children were grown, my adjectives would be a little more to what I'm actually thinnking
