Funny how the little things stick out. We have had a great stormy week (like many others) but yesterday when I was moving the wire for calves this struck me. The post is 4' long and makes a very effective gopher fence.
The new fence is tied to a tree and the post is set in the snow to hold the wire up a bit higher. Drifts are hard enough to hold a calf in a lot of places.
