A little freezing drizzle and snow makes for icy haired critters...they make me cold just looking at them...but somehow they survive...it's acutally pretty nice today, 33 this afternoon, which maybe will help the tanks thaw a little..I'm already tired of chopping ice! Oh well..it's gonna be a long winter I think...

The old windmill, with no wind, the snow sticks to whats left of the fins...

Jazzy is about to persuade this heifer to go back to the cake....lol

If she only knew her cuzzins in Texas were soaking up the sun...lol

Finding the cake in the snow makes for frosty smiles...

Of course when it's only 11 degrees outside...things break!

Cool pictures, Jassy. So in reality, is your Jazzy dog trying to get the heifer to go back to cake?... or is she the distraction causing the heifer not to eat cake in the first place? :? :???: Enquiring minds would like to know. :-) Just teasing. :-)

Lol..I can honestly say she was sending her back to the cakeline...I had finished caking and you know heifers...they follow the cake truck anywhere, and I didn't need her meeting me at the gate...So yes Lil Jazzy was doing her job...lol :)

Actually......the sun wasn't soakin into anything in my part of Texas today. This is what it looked like here....cold, dreary, with rain and fog.

Hey lilly I bet Jassy would split the temp differnce with ya....  I know I sure would as it is raining here and trying to get real icy. Luckily they only think we might get a 1/4 to maybe a 1/2 inch of ice. Looks like Jigs might get double that...

I bet yer right LOL The rain we had today was just enuff to make it yucky. Just sorta misty rain all mornin and partway into the afternoon. I still managed to spend 4 hours in the tractor shreddin pastures tho. So it's not real muddy.....yet.

No, the weeds got way ahead of one of our rancher neighbors. I"m shreadin for him. He normally sprays, but his big spray rig has been down for a couple years. So.....I"m makin a lil extra cash by shreddin for him. There is still lots of grass there, I'm cuttin about 8 to 10 inches high....that way I"m not mowin the grass, just the weeds above it.

That said, the weeds are dead...so basically all I'm doin is whoopin em down so that they aren't still standin come spring when the grass starts greenin up again. Some of these weeds down here, will put out from the stems that are dormant in winter. So if they are shredded then they aren't as likely to do that...but there's still millions of seeds. Uhggggg!!!! But Mr Lilly is supposed to get the spray rig back up and ready for next year durin the winter months.

Good pics Jassy. Looks like your cows can "have their cake and eat it too"

Appears like you folks have a lot of snow down there. Up here we're black and brown with dust all around! --- Hope the guys got things all fixed up without any frost bite!
