A dads poem

Though you're not my father as far as blood lines go,
You are the only daddy I will ever know.

You've held my hand and guided my path,
Creating a bond that forever will last.

There is no escape from my watchful eye,
Whatever you do you know I want to try.

It doesn't make a difference whose blood courses through my veins,
You know in my heart I love you just the same.

I'm your little girl following you around,
A love stronger than this could never be found.

You've taken the place of the sun, moon, and stars in the skies,
You are my father in my precious little eyes.

By the times you've shared and the experiences you've had,
It's easy to see you are my REAL DAD.

Canadian Cowgirl----now you have me searching for the poem that sw wrote for me to give to my dad....that man sure has a way of putting words together......all I did was give him some history on this wonderful man who married a divorced woman with 2 small girls, married this woman the day after the oldest girl (yep, that'd be ME) turned 5 years old and has been "DADDY" ever since! this wonderful man walked me down the aisle (both times, I might add), held my children FIRST when they came into the world, cried his heart out when we buried his wife/my mother and is my whole heart and soul!!!! Your poem really hit a spot with me and I thank you for sharing with all of us!! DNA truly does not matter....remember......
