Got some bulls headed in this morning.
Cut them out with the horse and ivomeced the keepers and loaded the culls (leathers were a touch stiff this morning.

After a white knuckler to Viking on the ice, got culls unloaded to sell tomorrow, and made it home. Then we did our weekly round of chores.
Interestingly enough it takes exactly as much time for us to feed calves for a week as it takes our neighbour to run down the road for one trip with his feed wagon as we met at the driveway on the way in and out from feeding calves.

Dad pulled twines while I rolled fence. You can tell the calves are wild.

Looks like winter up there RSL. Good thing you have a warm house to retreat to.
I've been pricing a good set of binoculars so I can engage a full retreat and still check cows
Last week was the first time above 0C since Nov 17, but we are back down into the teens again which is way better for feeding calves.

We've had -10 to 20 mornings and +5-8 days for the last week. Celcius temps. If the winters were like this all the time a guy might actually want to live here.

Snow is between 4 and 10 inches depending on the elevation here at the ranch. Might be a dry farm if we don't get some more.
