Your place always looks in tip-top shape, Soap.

Why didn't you buy that nice roan horse????

Thanks. The roan horse was a nice nine-year-old gelding. He brought $2900, and sure looked to be a good all-around horse.

looks like a full week soap, that picture of peach and the calf in the cage , is the calf strapped to the side of the cage while she is moving ?

Yes, the calf is strapped on the side of the cage. It works well, because the cow usually follows closely. She thinks the calf is "walking" ahead of her.

What's the prognosis on the HydraBed? Does it look like a design flaw?

My son hasn't tackled the project yet, but will probably have to take off the caker and tool box, and then remove the Hydra-Bed from the pickup. I think the problem is just hard use. The Hydra-Bed and the 1998 Dodge pickup were purchased in the fall of 2003. The outfit has fed a lot of hay during the past six seasons.

Thanks for the photo tour. Hope all that moisture makes the sandhills green and the cattle fat. When ya find that banker, send him my way. I'd love to buy a ranch stocked with 500 head with grass up to my stirrups and lots of water! :D But your's and Gcreek's places are out'a my price range!

Great batch of photos, hopefully you were'nt to far from home when that break happened.I like your temporary inland sea, must attract quite a few birds in transit. That power pole near the little red barn looks a little bendy

Maybe it was installed by Leanin' H

There's never a good time for a breakdown, but at least it's at the end of the season :? . I agree with FH, your place is immaculate, you can tell a lot of hard work and pride goes into maintaining it all :D .

Soap, it looks to me like your son is endeavering in a worthy cause through his chosen career. Must be a good feeling to create solutions to people's problems and needs. From previous posts, I'd say he knows how to do the job :!:

Soap judging by some of his other work your son will get it fixed so it will hold. Not exactly an easy repair since it is a little hard to get to the ends of the channel. No place for shortcuts on a repair like that, because you don't want to do it over.
